after tedious resarch on the net, i settled on this tv and have not been disappointed! i had a $1200 budget i wanted to stick to, and 46" tv was the biggest lcd i could find in that range. i've always been told to stick with lcd becuase of plasma's burn in issues and potential limited life. well, in the end i got more tv for less money. then only draw back is that i have to take good care not to leave any still image on the screen for too long. i've noticed that while choosing a netflix movie to stream via my blu-ray player, i had minor burn-in after only a few minutes of scrolling for a movie selection. i could have the color settings too high, so i can't blame the tv just yet. then burn-in image does go away however, so there seems to be no real damage done yet. i have had the set only 5 days, so it's premature to make any conclusions yet. the picture is great, and if you have a samsung blu-ray player there is no need for 2 remotes, which is very handy. i do suggest if you're going to buy any large screen hdtv, that you purchase a blu-ray play also. watching standard dvd's even when upconverted can make you think the tv's picure is crap!!!!!!

Purchased on black friday 2009 directly through Amazon.com. Had a glitch in delivery due to an old telephone number I had on file but the delivery service did not have an immediate backup plan (ie: email, text, etc) I called looking for the delivery and found out my TV was sitting in a warehouse waiting for a redelivery. As far as the product is concerned, I can only say it is a 5 star television. Samsung makes one of the highest rated plasma's in the market. It looks good, is easy to setup and navigate, picture quality is outstanding. I have the unit in a family room with 6 windows and a patio door and brightness is non issue with this unit due in part to the dynamic view feature. I would highly recommend this 52" Samsung plasma television. I am 99% satisfied. I only wish I would have bought a little bigger unit.

Sound quality is bad. Tuner is analog - very hard to tune-in radio stations. Overall, the system has a very cheap feel. The light from the display is incredibly bright, even after adjusting the dimmer - had to turn the clock to face the wall. The display would not show radio stations after the first day (defective) - returned it.

.....just call Amazon back, and they'll send you a new one that day. I ordered this TV on Black Friday after extensive research and comparison to similar models. The TV arrived as scheduled, but the delivery guys refused to set up and test it because "it was too cold". Whatever. I plugged it in and....nothing. D.O.A. I scoured the internetz and prayed to the Flying Spaghetti Monster, but I failed. Called Amazon that day, and the Rep had a new one shipped within the hour, tracking info and all. A week later, got the new one and told the delivery guy I would not sign until we checked it. I had boxed up the first one, and they took it. Well, it's been perfect for 2 weeks now. Amazing motion blur reduction compared to LCD. As long as you don't place it in direct sunlight there's no glare. I have my PS3 and HDDVR running through a Sony Reciever via HDMI, all run by a Harmony One Remote, and it is so intuitive my 4 year old can run my set-up all day. Visiting a site like the AVS Forums will help you tweak the settings to your liking...I suggest running a calibration disc of some sort for optimal picture. I finished my Polk 5.1 set up with this TV as well, and I'm in home theater heaven! Highly Recommended, especially if bought through Amazon.

For the money ,the Samsung 1080p plasma cannot be beat. I did way too much research on this before I purchased, both online and in the retail stores. I first looked at the 720p model ,after reading that there was not much difference, and found a good deal at Best Buy,I lucked out when it was not in stock,so I looked into outer models. The Panasonic had some good reviews, but not for me,the image was not as clear, or bright, the white areas were gray. I decided to give the Panasonic another look at a different store, and make sure, that the setup was done correctly at Best Buy,so I went to Costco, and saw the same results. So now I had it narrowed down to the Samsung brand, and found the best deal at Amazon, with free home delivery,no tax ,and a $100 gift card. I went with the Samsung PN50B560 1080P Plasma and after 1 month of use I could not be happier with the decision, and this was my first purchase with Amazon now I will look at Amazon first, they have excellent communication, quick shipping and very good prices. GET THE SAMSUNG

Nov 29,2009, Ordered a samsung pn50b560 50 inch plasma TV from amazon.com

Dec 7,2009, TV is delivered. Set up in living room, waited 2 hours or so for the TV to come up to temperature. TV moved downstairs and hung on wall. Worked fine from dec7 through dec 9th.

Dec 10, 2009, turned TV on in the morning, no picture, but sound worked fine. Later that afternoon, called Samsung, got a repair ticket (don't have the number handy atm), was told that someone local would call from 24-48 hours later.

Dec 17,2009, called samsung back as no one had ever called back. Got a new ticket #4006032686. Shortly thereafter got a call from a local place, Woods Electronics. As I was out of town at the time, the TV couldn't be picked up until the 26th, but their technician was on vacation from the 25th through the 4th of january. Told them to pick it up on the 4th, but to call ahead of time so I could be sure to be home.

Jan 4th,2010. Waited until 2pm or so before calling Woods, was told it couldn't be picked up until the 11th.

Jan 11th,2010. Tried the TV in the morning, just to see what happened. Lo and behold there was picture. Called Woods and told them that it now worked, no need to come out. 15 minutes later, the picture was gone again. Called Woods again, and explained what happened. TV was picked up later that morning.

Jan 19th,2010. Called Woods. Was told the parts were ordered on the previous thursday, takes 5-10 working days for them to show up.

Jan 28th,2010. Called Woods. Was told TV had been up and running for a while. Earliest delivery date would be the Feb 1st. I arranged with a friend to pick it up the next day, rather than wait.

Jan 29th. Picked TV up before noon, was told to wait a couple hours to let it come up to temperature. Hung TV on wall around noon. About 2:00pm or so, turned TV on.
Nice picture. While attaching permanent mounting screws, the picture goes out again. I call Woods Electronics again, yell at technician. He comes out about an hour later. I apologize for yelling at him over the phone. He thinks it might be my AC power input. He plugs his meter into the outlet, announces he sees 12 volts. I never get a chance to see the meter. I suspect he is just making intermittent contact with the receptacle. He takes the TV back yet again.

A couple of days later, i meter the same plug. Reads 120VAC. I try to stress test the wiring, by plugging in a 12A electric heater and, while monitoring the voltage, turning the heater on and off quickly. I see the voltage drop to 116VAC from 120VAC as the heater is switched on and off.

Still waiting to see how this turns out....

I bought this iPod Dual Alarm Clock for my nephew's Christmas present. He loves it and uses it every day. The sound is a bit tinny, but expected from the lower end price.

The clock alarm works great and he enjoys being able to use his iPod music for his alarm.

The item listed was black, we were notified the item available was white after the purchase,we agreed to take a white radio. The radio works but the ipod dock doesn't always nor does the alarm.

I am so glad that I stumbled onto this TV on Amazon. I was planning to buy a 58" V Series Panasonic for this same price. I wanted the 65" V Series Panasonic but it was $4000 and I just couldn't bring myself to spend that much. This TV has somehow been overlooked by reviewers on consumer websites. We are very impressed. The picture is so pretty. BluRay movies are beautiful on this set. Like a couple other reviewers, the first TV that was delivered had a cracked screen. However, the customer service at Amazon is just amazing and we had a second TV three days later. I definitely recommend this television. My husband is watching the Olympics as I write this and he just said, "This TV makes Hockey watchable." It's easy to keep up with the puck on this huge clear screen!

Received last weekend. Love the picture. WAY better color and black levels than my old Sony KDF-55. One thing I wish was better is the glare. Screen is fairly reflective and I read somewhere that it is addressed on some higher end models. Only improvement I would make.

TV arrived two weeks ago. Very happy with the unit, and feel that it was a real value at the price offered by Amazon. Shipper called to schedule delivery. We scheduled a date/time when I was home to direct it's placement. When the driver arrived, and she got out of the Van, without any help ... to delivery a 134lb TV ... well how could this go well? I run out to help, and to my horror, while trying to place the box on a dolly, she DROPS THE TV OUT OF THE VAN AND ON IT'S SIDE. Forgive the caps; I was speachless. Since I work in the transportation business, I know that Plasma's are shipped standing for a reason! They should never be laided on their side (or for that matter dropped out of a Van on their side). If my wife had been home, she probably would have shipped it back unboxed, but I am too much of a nice guy ... and so I helped carry it in the house and place it on a tall stand. To my amazement, the TV has worked well so far. I am watching it closely and it needs to be calibrated. I love you Amazon, but please tell your shippers to send TWO employees out to delivery anything over 100lb.

So kids the moral of the story is ... when the Shipper calls, make sure to ASK for two delivery people. Don't assume, like I did, that common sense will prevail. More often than not, you will be disappointed.

I purchased this TV, three days ago from Amazon.com; and, it was delivered to my home on the third day from the time I ordered it online. Excellent and very quick service from Amazon.com. This TV, now replaces a 65" rear projection Sony HDTV, that was down in my living room. TV, was delivered this morning; and, within two hours, the local Satellite/TV company that services my C-Band/Ku Band Satellite TV System, and 12 feet diameter, outdoors Satellite Dish, came over and made sure everything was working optimally with both the HDTV free over air channels in my area, and the 19 (nineteen) satellites I have programmed into my system (W3,GB,T6,G3,T5,G4,W4,W1,W5,M2,M5,T7,G0,G5,G9,C3,G1,C4,W7). I like being able to instantly tune into national and global television programming, of my choice; and, my Samsung PN63B590, fits in very well with how I now do all of this, including how I now use my second Apple TV unit that's attached via HDMI to this Samsung PN63B590. My other Apple TV unit, is attached via HDMI to a Sony 42" Plasma Screen HDTV, located in my upstairs master bedroom (large room, with large sitting area). In fact, when the 2010 Samsung 65" Plasma screen TV's arrive around the end of June 2010, I'll likely purchase one for this room; and, move the smaller screen Sony, just mentioned as being located in this room, over to a guest room.

I DID ALOT OF READING AND STUDY ON THE SUBJECT OF PLASMA, LCD, AND LCD/LED. A GOOD WEB SITE FOR THIS IS AN UNBIASED SITE CALLED [...]. IT GIVES GREAT ADVICE AND DOES'NT GO OVER THE USER'S HEAD WITH TO MUCH TECH TALK. THEN I WENT DOWN TO THE "VIDEO ONLY" STORE AT JANTZEN BEACH, IN PORTLAND, OREGON. THE SALESMAN I TALKED TO WAS WELL VERSED AND HAD AN EASY GOING PERSONALITY. WE TALKED FOR ABOUT A HALF HOUR ON THE VARIOUS T.V.'S HE HAD IN THE STORE AND I CAME TO THE CONCLUSION TO BUY A SAMSUNG PN63B590. I REALLY HAD A TOUGH TIME TELLING THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LCD, OR LCD/LED, OR THE PLASMA. THE ONLY THING THAT STOOD OUT WAS THE PRICE. BY THE TIME I WALKED OUT, I HAD MADE UP MY MIND, MY WALLET WAS $3451.00 LIGHTER. BUT FOR THAT PRICE I GOT THE T.V., A PANASONIC BLUE-RAY PLAYER, A BOSE CENEMATIC II SYSTEM, AND NICE TABLE WITH DARK MAHOGANY WOOD AND GLASS DOORS TO PUT THE SET ON, PLUS A 6' HDMI CORD TO HOOK UP THE SET. THIS MADE MY DAY, AS I REMEMBER 14 YEARS AGO I BOUGHT A HITACHI 54 INCH REAR PROJECTOR T.V. FOR $3500.00 FROM CIRCUIT CITY. SO ME THINKS I GOT A GREAT DEAL FROM VIDEO ONLY! THE SET COST ME $2374.00 NEW, NOT USED,SO I SAVED ROUGHLY $600 BUCKS BY NOT BUYING IT ON LINE. SO IF I GOT SCREWED BY ANYONE AT VIDEO ONLY, LET ME KNOW. AND IF I DID, WELL LIFE JUST AIN'T WORTH LIVIN'! LOL!

From a 13 year old: Pretty much great except for the violence. You can edit out the violence and/or language if you want. You have the option of multi-players with "stage battles."

Bought a bare bulb from bulboutlet.com which offered a good price and 1 year warranty. Last bulb (from Advanced Lamps) lasted a bit less than 6 months). Vendor offered no picture but claimed that installation was easy - just need phillips head and needlenose pliers. Indeed, they sent link to video about doing the replacement that looked easy as pie. Problem was that bulb sent did not have a "pigtail" shown in the video and I did not have proper screws for installation and did not feel comfortable using solder. I asked for screws or a replacement, but vendor did not reply. I spent $$ for handyman's help to gerryrig. It's working, but I would warn others to stick with bulbs with full housing or ask about pigtail.

The graphics were horrible! This game was so hyped up and has not even met your grandpa's standards!!!!!! I was so looking forward to this game and when I got home to play it, I realized that I got screwed with no Vaseline!!! it was a total waste of money! I am sticking with Oblivion! The voices in the game are shady, the graphics are second to third rate!!! Game play is slow, and no I am not even close to being over-encumbered! I have had it crash about twice in every 10 hours. Even though I had to lower my standards to finish this piece of crap game, I found the worst part of this game the ending!! it was a joke!!!! I thought Fable 2 sucked no this was beyond a joke! My game catches. When I'm walking, it catches every 5 meters or so, depending on my location. So I'm walking along fine, then a pause, then walking, then a pause. It really sucks. you have no source for revenue other than killing the random enemy. All and all I would say this game could very well be the worst game of the year! Def the most disappointing game of the decade~

I honestly was very skeptical. Half of the guitar hero song choices I was never that crazy about but I've had friends and coworkers recommend trying this cause they knew I played guitar as a hobby for over 20 years. I had already purchased a PS3 a year ago so I decided to give it a shot and I had fun. It's not any good if you're wanting your child to learn how to play a guitar but if you want to have a good time with your friends this will do the trick nicely. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is the price tag they want for these things at retail stores are at least double what they are worth. So if you got money to burn you can have some fun with this peripheral. If not spend your money on ps2 videogaming it's still the best value for your video gaming dollars.
